Day 3 Nanchang

Hi again..and Hi to Ms. Johnson's class:
I hope Ms. Johnson went over the answers with you to the previous questions. Here is the next question-What is the city of Nanchang famous for? (there are a couple of answers to this). What is the primary industry in the Jianxi Province?
Well we finally feel like we are getting onto a schedule. Yesterday we were able to go to Walmart here in Nanchang to stock up on some supplies. Walmart appears to be a local hang out with lots of people loitering. Of course half the items were indistinguishable to us like fish flavored chips. Plus the escalators stay flat as the go up and down and you roll the cart right onto it with you. That was neat as we had Sienna in the cart and she could go down the escalator with us.
This is a spicy province meaning that all the food is hot! Yesterday we ordered room service which was quite interesting. We were able to get fried rice (that was good), fried noodles, Bok Choy and chicken. The chicken was not what we thought as it was a cutlet with mushroom sauce and french fries. It was kind of like an entree rather than a chinese dish. We asked for non-spicy but the noodles were hot and had slice red chilies in them along with the seeds. I think that is what woke Karen up in the middle of the night with a tummy ache.
The girls had their baths last night and Brooke did not like it all. The notes from the nannies said that Brooke had a bath everyday?
Then we had leftovers and went to bed. Last night was a good night sleep for all of us. Today we had a leisurely breakfast and then we all had a doctor appt. for the babies. Brooke's throat is red and she is congested. If she gets worse they suggest starting the amoxicillan we brought.
We are going to have pnut butter and Jelly sandwiches for lunch in the room (we brought pnut butter) and then walk to a 1000 year old Buddhist pagoda down the street from our room. Tonight we are having a Chinese Dinner with our group at an authentic Chinese restaurant.
Miss you all! Love, Karen, John, Sienna and Brooke
